PEMA's national headquarters is Washington-based
and staffed with long-term professionals having more than 200 years combined experience
in management and development of associations. Since 1984, the professional
staff has provided PEMA with expert financial administration, meeting
planning, membership services and recruiting, communications support, organizational
continuity, and leadership.

Susan A. Denston
Executive Director
Susan Denston is Executive Director
for the Process Equipment Manufacturers' Association. Her background suits a variety
of tasks, including meetings management, print production management and quality
control, and membership and meetings promotion. She also is skilled in serving
the administrative needs of Boards and committees. She is a graduate of George Mason
University with a B.B.A. in Marketing. Sue is President of the Corporate Services
Division of Association and Society Management International, Inc. In addition,
she serves several additional associations: Executive Vice President of American
Textile Machinery Association, Meetings Manager for the International Association
of Emergency Managers and Meetings and Exhibit Manager for the National Association
of State EMS Directors.

Harry W. Buzzerd, Jr., CAE
Management Counsel
Harry (Buzz) W. Buzzerd, Jr., CAE,
serves as Management Counsel for the Process Equipment Manufacturers' Association.
He began his association management career in 1964 and holds a CAE (Certified Association
Executive). He earned a B.A. from Gettysburg College, along with extensive graduate
and professional education. In addition to his work with PEMA, Buzz is the Management Counsel to the American Paper
Machinery Association and the American Textile Machinery Association. He is
Chairman of Association and Society Management International, Inc., the firm that
manages PEMA.

Michelle Savoie
Meetings Manager
Michelle Savoie is responsible
for all functions of conventions and meetings management. Prior to employment with
ASMI, Michelle worked for the State Department (Refugee Affairs Advisor), USAID
(Program Manager), Boston University, several non-profits, and operated a catering
firm for 13 years, as well as serving as a pastry chef at a Ritz Carlton Hotel.
She has a B.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Arizona and has
completed graduate studies in Social Anthropology at Boston University. Michelle's
experience extends to managing meetings and events for several other ASMI client
associations.

Dawn M. Shiley-Danzeisen
Marketing/Communications Manager
Dawn M. Shiley-Danzeisen, M.A.,
Marketing & Communications Manager. Dawn is the editor of
's newsletter and also provides graphic support (brochures
and booth design). She has more than 19 years experience in association management.
Prior to this position, she was with the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers
Association (SOCMA), where she held numerous positions during her 15-year tenure.
Dawn earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University and M.A. from the George Washington
University School for Public and International Affairs. Working at Association
and Society Management International, Inc., Dawn is the editor for six newsletters
and provides marketing and communications services to more than 10 clients.
