PEMA Data Usage & Confidentiality Policy

PEMA is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of personal and company information.

PEMA considers the protection of this proprietary information to be a foundation of member trust and sound association practice. We employ physical, electronic and procedural controls and we regularly adapt these controls to respond to changing requirements and advances in technology. We restrict access to personal and proprietary information of our members; data is used only by PEMA staff who require it to process member services such as dues payments and meeting registrations, and to produce reports as part of the PEMA Statistics & Surveys Program.

Any information provided for use in compiling reports for the PEMA Statistics & Surveys Programs will not be disclosed or disseminated to any third party unless agreed to by the member, except as contemplated for the Statistics Program in the use of the third-party PEMA Statistician. (It is the policy of PEMA to secure a separate Confidentiality & Data Protection Statement from the Statistician.)

No member of PEMA will have access to any data collected for the PEMA Statistics or Survey programs. Furthermore, the identity of those providing data is not shared unless permission is given, including names of companies participating in the Statistics & Surveys Program.

All reports created for the PEMA Statistics & Surveys Program are in the aggregate and void of any identifiable company information.

PEMA’s management firm, Association & Society Management International (ASMI), is accredited through the AMC Institute and is bound by standards of good practice for financial management and internal controls of member proprietary information.
