Magnum Systems Inc. is a system integrator and manufacturer of material handling equipment. The company’s innovative team has earned industry leadership with nearly a century of experience in engineering and application knowledge, material handling, pneumatic conveying, and packaging.

The primary markets served are food and ingredients, industrial minerals and bulk solids, chemicals and plastics, and agricultural feed and seed. The company offers engineering, testing, commissioning, components and parts, and support. Their products lines are Smoot Pneumatic Conveying and Taylor Products Packaging Systems.

Magnum Systems is the combination of two companies.

  • Smoot Company began providing pneumatic conveying systems in Kansas City, Kansas, in 1960. With a long history comes a long list of patented industrial systems, including the Airlift Railcar Discharge Adapter, Rotary Airlock Cavity Purge system, Slide Diverter Valve, and our recent ECO Phase Pneumatic Conveying System, patented in 2013. Today, Smoot, a Magnum Systems brand, is a leading provider of pneumatic conveying systems and components. These include dense and dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems and railcar and truck unloading.
  • Taylor Products was founded in the 1960s in Parsons, Kansas, by Murland “Mike” Taylor as the Taylor Seed Company. Soon, he began designing mechanical beam scale baggers. Taylor Products’ extensive line of patented equipment for valve bags, open mouth, and bulk bags is his legacy of translating customer thoughts and ideas into practical, economical, and durable machine designs. Although product development started in the agricultural market, industrial markets soon adopted Taylor Products’ equipment designs. Today, the Taylor Products brand of Magnum Systems provides standard designs and custom equipment for every sector of the commercial marketplace.
