KWS Receives Recertification To Repair Pressure Vessels
KWS Manufacturing Company, one of the largest screw conveyor manufacturers in North America has received recertification from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectorsto repair pressure vessels. The National Board Inspection Code(NBIC) is an internationally recognized standard thatprovides information and guidance to perform, verify and document acceptable repairs or alterations to pressure vessels.Pressure vessels repaired in accordance with the NBIC receive an “R” stamp on the nameplate of the vessel.
SWECO Introduces 3dMP Screener for Additive Manufacturing
Florence, KY-SWECO, the world leader in separation technology, introduces the 3D Metal Printer (3dMP) Screener System. This innovativedesign collects, screens, and rebottles reclaimed metal powder from 3D metal printers. The 3dMP Screener System istotally integrated, eliminating multiple operations and any material handling. The system is set up to feed in the used metalpowder with agglomerates and discharge screened metal powder ready to be reused or mixed with virgin material.
Carrier Acquires Heyl & Patterson Thermal Processing Group
Louisville, Kentucky-‐based Carrier Process Equipment Group, Inc. (CPEG), a holding company comprised of Carrier Vibrating Equipment, Inc. and S. Howes LLC has acquired Carnegie, PA-‐based Heyl & Patterson’s Renneburg Division. The new acquisition adds several new products to CPEG’s extensive bulk processing capabilities, including rotary dryers, calciners, and coolers.

Allen Robinson, a member of the KWS Quality Team,has received certification as anASME Authorized Inspector.ASME Authorized Inspectors provide guidance, management and approval of the design and manufacture of ASME pressure vessels. Authorized Inspectorstatus is another step forward in Allen’s progression as a welding expert.Allen is also a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) and Certified Weld Educator (CWE).
