History
Russell Finex’s corporate journey began in 1934 when three builders, Victor Robinson, Charles Holliday, and Charles James Askham, established the original company as RPA Builders. Within a few years, an engineer and inventor named Justin Hurst bought shares in the company and developed and patented a revolutionary new sieving machine. During the Second World War, the company exclusively manufactured sieves for the Ministry of Supply to assist in the sieving of tracer bullet powders, utilizing the new patented Russell sieving machine.
Following the war, the company’s growth accelerated with the opening of new markets and the regular release of new machines. In 1970 and 1972, the first subsidiaries in the USA and Belgium opened after many years of selling equipment through agents in those markets. By the 1990s, the company had grown to such an extent that new offices and manufacturing facilities were required, and the site of its current international headquarters was acquired.
Today, Russell Finex is a truly global business servicing 140 countries through its network of subsidiaries and agents. This means its customers enjoy local support wherever they are and at whatever stage they are in their journey. From having company experts visit their sites to discuss new projects to receiving remeshed frames quickly, the company is there to support its customers.
